I have 20 acres of Alfalfa that was cut 40 days ago ground is very wet and will track if I try to cut the hay. With all the rain there is heavy growth, my question is will the extra growth increase winter kill if I don't remove the hay this fall? It is too close to frost date to try cut and have enough regrowth for winter.
