I am in the market for a used hay rake. I am thinking about a New Holland 154 or 152. In my area I need either a 10 or 12 wheel rake. I have never owned one of these types of rakes and am looking to find a good used one. I have noticed prices can vary quite a bit on rakes that seem pretty similar. Here is my question. What are the key components to check when trying to find one that will be field ready and not present to many costly repairs.
