Guys,
Looking to get rid of our NH 273. wanting to get something a little bigger that will allow our operation to grow some and just put up hay a little faster and more consistent that the 273. Don't get me wrong that baler runs well and doesn't break very often, but the bale shape isn't to consistent, and you have to run fairly slow with a decent sized windrow.
So what i have been looking for is a little bigger machine, I found a NH 316 with a pan kicker, reasonably priced, and in pretty nice shape. What type of improvements would i see from the 273 to the 316. Then i also found a NH 326 with thrower, i don't know much about these balers, other than they're bigger and some people online say they will eat hay. Lastly for the NH balers, i came across a NH 565, looks like a stout baler, has the thrower, and pretty clean. of the New Hollands what would you say is the most dependable of the 3? I really don't want to go anything bigger than the 565 because of how big they are and our hilly ground around there.
My other thought on the balers has been looking for an inline, are they worth the extra money they cost you to buy them? and do they have any real downfalls?
Last thought was a JD, 346 or 336. but i don't see many JD balers, seems like they are all NH or the others are the inlines in my area.
Thanks!
