Anybody still run @ 540? Why - why not?

I bale @ 540 with my square balers. JD 336 and JD 347. Never ran 'em less than that for very long. Just figured that was the only way.

I hardly ever rake or tedd @ 540 anymore. Only in really heavy, wet hay. Usually right after mowing.

Baled with the JD 458 round baler @ 540 this past season. Reading here that it may not be the best way to put hay up with a round baler.

After seeing all the leaf chaff in the round baler chamber with 2nd cut hay.. I'm thinking about slowing the "spin cycle" down a notch.

What do you all do? Thanks.
