Food For Thought

I had a professor once say no matter how educated you are or how many old timers tell you that grandpa did it this way or dad did this. Does not work every time or most of the time for that matter. And he went on to say that trial and error is the best education for EVERY SCENARIO.
Now the food for thought is....

Just because you are educated or "old timers did it this way" means very little. Why? Because cows don't read the text book. The book isn't attached to a tpost and everyday you drive by you don't flip the page and they don't read it.

Trial and error, and common sense goes a long way.
