I purchased a nearly new, supposedly reposessed BC5070 to try to increase reliability and production baling wheat straw. The baler showed no wear in any area where wear should be evident, however, the baler has had a lingering problem that has grown to a full grown incapacitation. Tying on the right side became erratic 5k bales ago, however it only missed 1 in maybe 3-400. The problem has gotten steadilly worse such that it now misses 1 in 10 or so. The wire that is over the top of the bale shows evidence of having been gripped and twisted, the lower wire appears to have been sheared off prior to reaching the twisting hook. The problem does not manifest at low rpms just ticking over and trying to watch and diagnose. Even moderate rpms yield no problems, however at rated rpm, the bales are not tied on the right. All rollers are free and not appreciably grooved. Wire is being caught and delivered to the grippers by the needle. Needles appear to be correctly aligned and also appear to be adjusted to penetrate to the correct depth. Grippers appear to be holding and shearing the wire correctly. Twisting hooks are correctly timed and are not grooved at all. I have run out of ideas and nearly out of patience and am looking for advice.
Thanks in advance.
