Hayfields and Compaction from Heavier Tractors

You folks with 10,000 lb plus tractors, do you have any compaction in your hayfields? If you are like me, you’re probably mowing, tedding, raking and baling over the same tracks you previously laid down, over and over - year after year.

Do your heavier, 10,000 plus, tractors cause any compaction, damage and/or reduction in yield?

Not like you can slip on the moldboard plow and loosen everything up each fall with an established hayfield.

Compaction an issue? How do you resolve it?
