Overzealous Cow

Starting off Spring calving with beautiful weather and my mud is slowly dehydrating. Heifer just had her first calf and he is a nice little bull with some heft. I was watching them for a bit and then she went to licking his umbilical cord and blood just poured. I reached in and clamped off the flow. It stopped and then she went back to licking it again and it flowed. I had some poly twine so I cut a strand to tie it off. Just a little tip for you guys if you ever run into this. Still checking on him periodically.
