I am a very small time hay and beef producer in eastern Ohio. Its time to clean out the manure pit so I have some room for manure this winter. I have a couple hayfields that are getting thin (do not own a seeder or grain drill) and was wondering if mixing in a few pounds of seed in each manure spreader load would be effective in any way?
Poor man's method of seeding alfalfa/mixed grass
