Our non-profit inherited a half dozen wheelline movers, that are in various states of being cannibalized. They're dual drive hydraulic. All but one need the gas engine and coupling, and the one that we've got working uses an 8hp B&S engine, which I believe is the stock engine. Given that our pastures are level, except for cow pies and a few ruts, can we use smaller engines? Our laterals are 12-14 wheels, or about 500 feet. One of them looks like it was working with one of the two hydraulic motors missing, so I'm thinking 8hp might be overkill. We can save a lot of money switching to 6.5hp or even 5hp.
