Manure pump for irrigation?

I am looking at getting setup for wheel line irrigation on my place, and a friend offered me a lagoon pump for nothing. It was part of a lot he bought at auction for some other items, and has no use for. Could it be used as an irrigation pump? I think it would just be incredibly inefficient at the pressure and GPM I need.
