Hey, I'm new to this forum and new to farming. I have about 45 acres of hay fields that need to be seeded. I'm leaving the current stand of hay and using a no till drill. The current mix is orchard grass, fescue, white clove, and some johnsongrass. It only made about 180 5x5 bales last year about 1000lbs each. The fields have been tested and the lime and fertilizer need have been applied. I'm wanting to put a mixture of fescue 50%, orchard 30% , timothy 15%, and ladino 5%. Money is in short supply, so what would be the minimum rate lbs/arce of each. Fields have excellent soil.
