Harvesting Teff grass seed

My neighbor had 90 acres of Teff grass this year. He took off two cuttings , but the wet weather in September prevented taking the last cut. It now looks like straw and probably has little or no feed value if he could cut it and get it to dry. I was wondering if it could be combined and harvest the seed for next year? Anyone had any experience harvesting Teff gras seed here?
