Currently I bale a 4 acre field that produces more than enough small squares for my two horses. It is a mixed grass field brome, timothy, orchard grass, and fescue. The horses do not leave any behind even when they have access to the pasture. I would really like to remove just the fescue.
Is this even possible? I have heard about spraying it with plateau.
1. Any one have experience with plateau and killing fescue without killing brome?
My options I'm considering:
A. Spray the field with plateau in the fall.
B. Till it under and start over.
What would you do if it was your field?
Thank you,
matt
