I use a Hoelscher Accumulator for little while now and getting a little discouraged. My issue is the bale that enters the accumulator first and contacts the arm control lever seems to deforms the bale on the cut side. This is a guess as to what maybe causing my problem. As the bale contacts the arm control lever engaging the push over arm to place the bales on the table adds enough pressure to the cut side string from the control lever to start stripping the string off the bale. With the string slipping, my guess is why the bale appears to have a rounded edge. The pic is 4th cutting alfalfa/OG 50lbs bales with ~15% moisture. The right side of the pic are the bales that contact the arm control lever. It gets a little worse with higher moisture bales and heavier bales. First cutting not a real problem. It gets worse on subsequent cuts and higher moisture/heavier bales. This is a theory. Any suggestions or opinions?
