Spark arrestors

I know this is a very old subject.But on a x900 there is no way to clean the arrestor only to remove a plug shake rattle and roll.I don't think this is going to work on gas atvs these plug all the time.On a diesel way to much soot why they put them on is beyond me diesels useally don't throw sparks anyway.Well anyhow plug removed ran it two hours who knows if it is near clean or not .Well I took a piece of 3/8 fuel line installed a fitting shot a 150 psi into tailpipe soot all over the shop it is plugging up how bad I do not know.Joe
