NH 316 Baler - Twine Disc Timing

Going through the baler getting it field ready using the manual and Mike10’s notes. Made adjustment here and there. Replaced the twine disc pinion and worm gear on both sides. Timed the twine discs with Mike10 notes at 1/4”. Ran the baler pulling on the twine several times and made some bales with old hay. Cannot keep the discs in time per the notes let alone the manual at 1/8”. See pics of my dilemma. Any ideas? The knots have 5/8” tails.
