Vertical Tillage For Hay Field Prep

Have any of you used a vertical tillage tool to prep a field for a new seeding of hay? We will be drilling an orchardgrass timothy mix this fall behind corn and I am looking at ways to knock the stalks down and get a good seed bed to drill into. The farmer that has it planted in corn now has a Case 330 VT that I can probably rent to run over the stalks if would work. Just looking for feedback on a vt tool for this application.
