I went to replace a waiting-to-blow hose on a 1068 bale wagon that feeds the hydraulic motor on the bale loader. The bulkhead fitting that passes through the frame provides a male 3/4”-16 fitting to attach the female swivel fitting on the hose to. Given the two hoses there have such a crimp on fitting, they did exist at one time. But, two local hydraulic shops, the dealer and their Parker rep later, no crimp on fitting yet identified. There’s a number of ways to jerry-rig a solution, but the purist in me would rather replace as is or preferably adapt to a more standard fitting (looks like early 1068s started with an NPT adapter in place of this, and later changed to JIC, so the 3/4"-16 fitting is a serial number blip). Plus, it seems like it should be simple enough.
Anyone dealt with this? Maybe have a part number for crimp-on female swivel hose fitting that work with 3/4"-16 compression? Or a bulkhead adapter from compression to JIC/NPT/ORB, etc.? Might these be female ferulok flareless swivels (Parker 11243-8-8)? Just wondered what others have done...
NH 1068 and 3/4"-16 Swivel Fittings?
