Problem baling dry hayg happened again.

I tried to role 40 acres of hay today when the temp was 101 and by noon the bales stopped rolling. About twenty acres went well and by the afternoon bales will not grow more than 40 in, the hay picked up by intake appear to pour back on the intake. I emptied the first chamber manually but the same thing happened again. Not sure if the hay is too dry and powdry or something gone wrong with the 5 years old baler? Effort to cut and windrow 20 acres is wasted. The grass is mostly blue stem and does not have much length to it when dry. Any thoughts?
