Having major problem with the 1431 cutter bar. It snapped off a couple of weeks ago. Decided to bite the bullet and repair it. 2 drive shafts; 1 lower gear module rebuild; 2 upper top gear units; one small connector shafts; both hanger spacers; 1 cage and 2 installation kits. $4K+. did 40 acres and the right spacer broke off taking a drive shaft with it. New Holland was good and covered the parts. Today after 60 acres the left side snapped off. The drive shaft looks OK. There is a problem here that we can not figure out. This is the third time it broke. Doing 5 miles an hour. Not fast. Hay was not heavy. A few mole hills but not excessive. Any tips out there?
