Hydraulics for farmhand accumulator

I just picked up an old farmhand accumulator. The pump looks like a lot of hassle. Why couldn’t I use the hydraulics from my John Deere 3020 to power the accumulator. Pressure is 2200 on the tractor which could be regulated down. Any experience with this?
