Massey Ferguson baler issues

I have a 1976 MF 124 baler. While baling over the weekend it developed a problem it has never had before, where on one side (always the same side)I would find where like it tried to knot 2-3 times but all the twine was just wrapped up around the knotter with long lengths running down the bale chute but nothing actually tied on that side. I showed a pic to some experienced folks who said they had never seen that before. I did just recently sharpen the blades. We put up 714 bales but based on our physical count and the baler counter, had 36 that missed. Any suggestions are appreciated.
