John Deere 260 skid steer

We were using our jd 260 the other day to move rounds out of the field. Was working fine for about an hour. After making another load, the 260 would not start. It was off for about 30 minutes during the trip. The engine turns over but that's all it does. I checked the four fuses by the seat, parking brake is set, all is fine. It acts like it may be a fuel filter plugged but it showed no signs of problems why we were using it. I know when one goes out on a pickup truck it usually will run funny before it gets completely clogged. Any suggestions?
