I don't know why I never saw this before, but in my NH 7450 manual it says to run the deflector shield mid position and the hay will not bunch in the windrow. I have always ran with the shield in the highest position creating sort of a fantail with the hay. Where do others position the shield. Full width spread or making a windrow depends on quantity of hay and soil moisture,
