RTV 500 reverse issue / question

Hi Just new to 2009 RTV 500, has 165hrs on it only had it about a month, had 158hrs on it when I got it. The question I have I have noticed a few times in reverse it sound like it is not fully engages like a gear was slipping doesn't always make the noise, seems like when you are under load ie backing up a slope. Is this an adjustment issue or something more
