For the Humid East alfalfa/hay exports are slim compared to California, Oregon, & Washington.
Almost nonexistent.
My opinion as small it is this export market gives a release for the West coast and probably helps support the price of hay East of 95W.
A few years ago I knew a Idaho alfalfa grower who shipped containers of alfalfa to the East Coast, all the way to Florida.
Any ideas why?
