Tar River drum mower (calling Texas Mark and others with this brand)

Anyone with a Tar River brand drum mower?  Please say how you like (or dislike) this brand over other brands of drum mowers and explain why.

 

For Texas Mark:  I saw in another thread that you bought a new Tar River drum mower this year and sold your beloved SFI drum mower.  I did not want to hijack that other thread so I am posting this one instead.

 

Questions:

 

A:  Why did you get rid of the SFI drum mower so relatively soon (at least in the eyes of a small acreage farmer)?  I believe you got the SFI in 2012 or 2013  if I recall correctly?

 

B:  Why Tar River this time instead of another SFI brand especially with SFI being right there in Texas and no Tar River dealer in Texas?

 

C:  What do you like about the Tar River drum mower better so far?

 

D:  What did you like about the old SFI drum mower better?

 

Just curious.  Thinking of adding a drum mower to my arsenal for some tiny piddle patch fields that are hard to get my ole haybine into and simply curious on the lowdown on the different brands....
