Bolt-on bucket spear or chain-on bucket spear

Hi Folks...hope I'm in the right forum.  I just bought an old International tractor with a Great Bend (now Bush Hog) loader that has an older/different quick-attach configuration on the front end...not skid-steer style.  I've seen a couple of Bush Hog Quick-attach bale spears out on the web but the sale ads were all old.  That being said, I can't find a quick-attach bale spear for my Great Bend 440 loader and it appears I'm gonna have to go with a bucket-spear.  Question is, is the bolt-on style better or the chain/turnbuckle style better.
