Not really new at baling hay, but new to having to make all the decisions. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the advantages of using a mower/conditioner in south east MS on mostly Bahia and Bermuda verses a side mower or trail behind? I currently run (2) 8' three point hitch side mowers and looking to upgrade to a larger mower as I tend to bale around 1000-1500 bales a year. I've heard conflicting ideas about the conditioners in our area as far as it drying the hay out too fast vs mowing and tedding. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
