We have an old Tyler fertilizer spreader sitting around, 5 ton with torque axles under it. Both are froze up so if this works will probably replace with spring suspension.
Anyways, this one has really steep sides compared to our Wilmar and has a wide web in it, our train of thought is to take the diverter out over the web and see if we can spread lime with it. Anymore getting near impossible to get anybody to spread lime in a timely manner and most only will do it if they're getting to spread two ton/acre. We have a lot of fields that only need 1000 lbs or so.
The only thing I wonder about is every lime spreader I’ve ever seen used chain and slats instead of a web conveyor. Anybody ever spread fertilizer with a Tyler before?
