Another question on 276 Hayliner re:hay dog spring

New to me baler. Hay dog on top left side of baler does not have spring like the other two, only a plate on the side of it that the other two do not have. It must need some type of spring, right? Online parts was hard for me to make out. Previous owner is looking for owners manual and parts book which I will order if they can not be found.
Are other 1971-1976 NH balers similar in the hay dog department?
