Help!! I have an older IH 46 square baler, put roughly 500-700 bales through it per year. This past Friday I was baling hay on some uneven ground and the bars underneath the needles hit the ground and bent up, causing the needles to get stuck in the chute, and both ends were broken off. It also broke off the piece attached to the needle bar which ties into the brake rotor on the knotters. Anyways I welded up that bracket and re-straighten everything, and found another set of used needles. My question is, what do I need to do once I replace the needles. Do I need to retime the baler or since it was a hard hit which broke the needles can I replace them, spin it over by hand and go along my way?
thanks
