NH 1112 windrow adjustment

Is there any adjustment to be made on a NH 1112  with a 14' header and rubber on rubber conditioner, to create a windrow that is fluffier. I have the shields opened up as wide as they will go to make a 60" windrow in an effort to dry the bottom of the windrow. I am cutting OG, Alfalfa, Timothy mix  and it seem that the hay lays flat rather that "stacking up" in the windrow. The guy next door has an international with a steel and rubber conditioner that seem to get better airflow through the windrow by stacking the grass across itself rather than parallel like mine. I have tried a narrower windrows but it just packs a tighter windrow. I rake two rows together right now to dry the bottom the day before I bale  but the windows can get a bit heavy for a small square  baler. Any thoughts? Thanks
