Hey there folks I've got a Hesston 9260 SP windrower with a 9070 12' disc header on it we cut primarily red clover/Timothy and alfalfa Timothy mixes. The problem I'm having with it is when I cut heading west I can do a very good job of cutting at any speed, however when I cut east the alfalfa and clover is always cut really shaggy leaving up to 6-8" of stubble and it doesn't seem to matter how slow I go it's never that clean of a cut. It seems these plants lay over to the east more so. Now what I'm wondering is jas anyone experienced this? And can it be fixed? Is there a knife or add on agco sells to get more lift out of the blades? I know the problem can't be eliminated entirely because we have a NH 1431 and it doesn't get all of the hay either but it's definitely better. I was gonna call the agco dealer tomorrow and see what they have thought I'd check here first.
Thanks in advance
Chris
