Starting to get calls from multiple sources as locals are looking for horse quality squares and not much in the supply department. Most say "we guy we normally get hay from just could not get as much made this year and has none for sale". From comments on HT, not much better a fair distance south and into PA and southern NY. Going to be a long winter for some and they will hit spring with much lighter wallets. I am sold out for the year. People who normally use squares are talking unrolling rounds in the barn to feed. Did that one time, will only repeat the process if desperate. Hearing Jr Walker's sax in the background...
Add to our shortage the hurricane damage to farms and buildings and it is likely to get butt ugly this year.
Horse hay customers are startin to pucker up Buttercup!
