We own and operate a horse boarding facility. We grow our own hay as well . We feed large round bales so the horses have free choice hay. The problem we are having the horses are obese . We are looking for a grass type hay with higher yield but lower on the nutritional scale. We live in southwestern Ontario on a light to very light sandy loam. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
