Short Term Hay Field?

What would you plant for hay in an irrigated field that is rotating out of a non hay crop but will be needed for that crop again after two seasons? In the past I've just planted various cover crops and disced them in. My hay experience is limited to alfalfa and OG.
Oats come to mind but I'm not sure there's a market for oat hay around here. What hay I grow is for cash, I don't feed anything.
