Haybine back removed

I seem to remember a video of a guy that took the back of his haybine so it was basically just the rollers if he cut 9ft it would be spread 9ft. Seemed like a decent idea if you wanted to cut wider rows for drying purposes. Has anyone ever seen the video and what would be the pros and cons to doing so? I would think it wouldn't clog so much. I'll see if I can find the video.
