Massey 1839 modifications

jeudi 10 août 2017

I keep watching videos on YouTube of people bailing with Massey inline balers and it seems like they are flying with em. Maybe it's just me being easy on my equipment but I don't ever run my mf 1839 that fast due to the fact that I fear of shearing a stuffer bolt. I watched a video today off a guy with an 1837 that said he had only sheared one stuffer bolt in 5 years, and after watching how much he stuffs his baler I began to question why. In the owners manual, it says I can remove my auger stripper bars to help from shearing stuffer bolts and make a less raggy bale. Has anyone ever done this, if so I'd like to hear if it made any difference. I'd also have heard of changing the stuffer/plunger timing to increase capacity. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
