So, I got tired of labor issues with baling small bales last week, and bought a used NI 4845 round baler... took it out for a test this evening. after figuring out one or two things, I'm stuck wondering where the position of the twine feeders ought to be after a bale wraps- mine are in the middle....the manual shows that they ought to be outward by the cutting knives. I educated myself with the manual for figuring out that the twine needs to be wrapped around the sensor wheels, which they weren't, so that twine feed warning quit.... but then the baler kept winding the left side twine without calling it quits.
I hate the computer that i'm using right now.....regretting that i bought equipment that uses one! lol. but anyway.,
most important trouble shooting right now, is whether the twine feeding tubes ought to rest in the center as they are now with the twine hanging over the pickup, or to the outside by the twine cutters.....
worst part of it is that i opted for a used round baler rather than more kicker wagons. lmao. because fourth thing tomorrow morning, after getting some NIS from the co-op after reading that dish soap dont work, then spraying my corn, and launching my dear old dad's boat for the season, will be unloading 2 loads of kicker bales into the barn ALONE in case the round baler doesnt work.
These are the days that make winter seem nice,
