Tedding alfalfa and dew

This is my first year running a tedder. So far good results. However, we have been getting some pretty heavy dew over night. If I tedd with the heavy dew am I going to lose RFV due to a larger percentage of the hay being exposed to the dew and bleaching?

I also have an old pull type conditioner that I can recondition with. Is that a better option?
