My NH 8080 with the 750 rotary head has 980 hrs. The original rubber chevron rolls are getting worn out. Time for new rolls. I have always used the NH rubber chevron rolls. However I have seen some really nice crimping from the steel rolls that NH now offers. NH dealer claims the rubber rolls dry faster but I am not convinced. Steel sure is working good for Hesston. Who has used both in alfalfa and how did they compare?
