Update

I had a technician come out today to look at my knotter. I was sort of in the ball park on my diagnosis. To make a long story short he replaced a simple spring. It was related to the twine finger positioning.

We ran it through a manual cycle and he was pulling on the twine and it knotted perfect. I didn't really want to pay him to help me run already baled hay through it so that's how we ended. My wife and I will test it out Friday. He said everything looked in good condition and he didn't think anything else needed replacing. So in the end it was simple and I was close to figuring it out. Glad it's done though. Thanks for all the help to everyone that contributed.
