Does width of cut affect dry down time?

I'm considering buying a new disc mower/conditioner. I've been looking at buying either a 10' 4" cut, or going up a size to a 11 1/2 to 12' cut. Assuming both machines are set up to make the widest swath possible, will there be an advantage to one or the other in drying the hay the fastest? Both machines would have some sort tine/finger conditioner, not rollers as I'm strictly doing grass hay for horses. No alfalfa. We make only small squares with a NH BC5070, and use a six basket tedder. Roughly 450 acres/year in upstate NY with lots of humidity.
