Triticale Question

Does anybody know if Trical 348 is truly beardless? Planted some last fall and all of the information I can find just says awnless "characteristics". Does that mean it will still have some of the little bristles on the seed head? Seed heads are a couple inches from the bottom of the plant, I can cut the plant open and pull the head out and I don't see any of the bristles, but I wonder do they develop later?
