New Holland 268 knives

I have a NH 268 square baler I bought a couple years ago. I was reading in the manual that the knives gap needs to be like .030 inches, mine is probably closer to a half inch. it's still Bales alright and I bailed 2000 bales last year with few broken shear pins but I'm trying to find out how to adjust the knives. the manual is rather confusing to somebody that knows nothing about it. how hard is it to adjust the knives?
