Bale Density issues with Vermeer 504L baler

New day new issue. Adjusted the valve on hydraulic block after first couple bales today, because density was running a little high, so adjusted to lower density about a half turn or so and hasn't read above 0 on guage since and of course not making good bales. Have adjusted both ways since still no reading on guage and no change in bales. Did the valve go bad just from one small adjustment or did I do something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
