help pls. vermeer 2013 604SM

I just finished 3 hours on the baler and have 2 hiccups

1)  I set the timing marks with the socket and worked great.  Then like the article said   PTO on, Controller on, push start and as soon as it says apply net shut PTO and controller off.  Well the timing marks are on a different looking bar that has what looks like 2 small metal rods welded on top of each other and at the marks were against the brake lever.  Not even close to other timing mark.  Must be a different way to time this one.

2)  the left side on the bale size display only shows one bar with a bale in chamber.  Never changes.  I did the ground re-calibration still no change.  Is it time to get a new sensor or are there any tricks??
