Our third year on the RR monsanto alfalfa field, it is still under performing. We have some jypo variety in another field that totally out does the RR. We seeded triticale in the alfalfa last fall and bumped our first cutting a bit. This field is only for our cattle feeding--don't sell to the public.
We are going to drill some BMR at around 30 pounds into the alfalfa keeping on our 28 day cut schedule, making all of the cuttings into baleage.
I would not plant this variety and RR again.
